Bardstown City Schools has hired Jen Hagan to serve as the district’s next Chief Financial Officer.
Hagan brings eight years of experience within Bardstown City Schools to the leadership position. For the past four years, she has served as Assistant Finance Director, assisting with district budgeting, grant administration, tax rate evaluations, and state financial reporting.
Prior to her move to finance, Hagan served as Human Resources Assistant for Bardstown City Schools and as a Personnel Specialist in Nelson County Schools. In those roles, she managed employee personnel data in Munis, onboarded new staff, administered FMLA eligibility and retirement processing, and implemented TalentEd HR software.
“Jen has proven her expertise in school district accounting and a deep understanding of district operations. She is the ideal person to lead our finance team,” said Dr. Ryan Clark, superintendent of BCS.
Hagan earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy from the University of Louisville, graduating with highest honors. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University and a certification from the School Financial Management Institute through the UK Center for Next Generation Leadership.
“I am grateful for all BCS has given me as an employee and my children as students,” said Jen Hagan. “I am excited to step into this new role with an amazing team and continue working for this truly inspirational district.”
Current Chief Financial Officer Tracey Rogers will retire on December 31, 2026. Hagan will officially begin her duties as CFO on January 1, 2027.
