Bardstown City Schools Board of Education approved the tax rate of 83.7 cents per $100 valuation for real property on September 14, 2020. This tax rate includes .3 cents to recover prior-year exonerations and 84.7 cents for personal property. Motor vehicle tax remains unchanged at 53.1 cents. This is a decrease from last year.
The BCS Board of Education Tax Office will be closed in observance of the following holidays:

DROP OFF BOX
Payment drop box is available 24 hours a day and is located in the Tiger Alley parking lot adjacent to the Board of Education Office.
When using the dropbox please identify your payment with your bill number, property address and name on the account. Checks and money orders only. Please do not leave cash.
Taxpayers may pay school taxes online using a credit card. This option is available for current year taxes only. Online payments do have a convenience fee of $1.50 on payments of $60 or less and a 2.5% for payments of $60.01 or greater. BCS does not collect this fee. The link to pay online will only be available during the tax collection.
All delinquent tax information will be available on this page Monday, May 3, 2021.
Unpaid tax claims as of 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2021 will be sold for cash. All individuals wishing to participate in the sale must register with the office below between the dates of Wednesday, May 19, 2021 thru Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Please use this Tax Sale Registration Form to register for the sale.
