Face Coverings Required Beginning August 11

BCS Families,

This afternoon Governor Beshear announced that all students, teachers, staff and visitors must wear a face covering when indoors in all childcare settings, preschools and K-12 schools beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, August 11 – regardless of vaccination status.

BCS schools will begin requiring face coverings tomorrow, Wednesday August 11th and all schools will have masks available should a student or staff member need one.

As we stated in our Return to School plan, we believe an in-person school setting is critical for all students. We believe wearing masks will help reduce the number of students needing to quarantine, ultimately keeping more students at school each day.

Thank you in advance for your patience, understanding and cooperation as we transition back to wearing face coverings.

Dr. Ryan P. Clark
